Meet our Curator

Our Curator, “A” Perry, is an artist and the Executive Director of St. Mary’s Art Center, an arts
nonprofit located in a historic former 1876 hospital in Virginia City.

A has a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and a deep passion for art, architecture, and design.

Prior to moving to Nevada in 2011, she was a Vice President and the Global Project Management
Lead for an international real estate company working to build high tech, creative offices around the world for a Fortune 20 client. She and her diverse team of project managers were responsible for creating exceptional, forward-thinking spaces for some of the world’s most intelligent and pioneering engineers.

Her education, corporate career, and as a professional working artist, formed the perfect trifecta for not only influencing her own art, but fueling her passion supporting the myriad artists, makers, and amazing creatives in the region.

Through her role at St. Mary’s Art Center and as an artist, she has become deeply embedded in the
Nevada arts and culture community and is thrilled to work with BVW Jewelers as Curator. Always an activist looking to make the world a better and more interesting place, she envisions an exhibition program showcasing exceptional talent, introducing lesser-known artists, and offering inclusive, compelling, and sometimes edgy exhibitions that complement the incredible talent and wholly unique personalities of BVW Jewelers.

She has found where she belongs with her wife and dogs, driving the arts, and happily painting or
planning and plotting in her home studio located on a Virginia Range mountaintop.
