Reno Nevada Art Galleries at BVW Jewelers

Since our inception in 2013, BVW Jewelers has grown into more than just a jewelry store; we've become a cornerstone among Reno Nevada art galleries. Our gallery is a vibrant hub for the arts in Reno, NV, proudly showcasing a diverse array of local and international artists. Visitors can admire stunning paintings, sculptures, and exquisite jewelry crafted by talented local artisans.

As an active participant in Reno's Artown, we've had the privilege of being a chosen gallery for world-renowned artists, including Ivette Valenzuela in 2021, which brought a piece of global artistry to the heart of Northern Nevada. Our dedicated curator keeps our gallery fresh and relevant by introducing new and exciting artists every three months.

Furthermore, our commitment to the arts extends beyond simple exhibitions; we strive to create a dynamic space where the community can celebrate and access local talent. We warmly invite art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike to experience the creativity and diversity that define our gallery, truly a testament to the thriving art scene in Reno, Nevada.

I started painting after taking my Girl Scout troop to a watercolor workshop. They had
so much fun that I signed up for a class with the same artist, and was told I
“intimidated the other students.” Not sure that’s a good thing, but oh how I love this
medium! How the colors mix in water, how they seem to fight with each other, building
layers of colors to create something amazing.
I am current President of the Sierra Watercolor Society in Reno, a member of the
Nevada Artists Association, the Latimer Art Club, Sacramento Fine Arts’ WASH club,
hold Associate membership with the Women Artists of the West, and signature status
with the California Watercolor Association. I received the inaugural “The First Lady
Presents…” award from First Lady Kathy Sisolak in 2020, and the inaugural Reno Tahoe
Artist Excellence in Watercolor award in 2022. I also just received the Excellence in
Watercolor Gold Award from the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Oh…and I
work full time as a Public Works Contracts Administrator.
It’s an honor for me to be asked to judge the artwork at this year’s California State Fair!
